Monica Ulmanu

Monica Ulmanu is a freelance graphics journalist currently working from her home town, Bucharest. Before returning to Romania, she worked for The Boston Globe and The New York Times. Also studied hard as a Tar Heel and earned a master's degree in visual communication at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She worked on the design and usability of TheBlackSea.eu website, with the desire to create engaging opportunities for the team of journalists to display their multimedia work.
