Dilan is an Istanbul-based journalist with a focus on the environment, climate change, and migration.

She worked as a correspondent at Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency, where her beats were politics and diplomacy, among others. She was later the Climate Editor at Yeşil Gazete (The Green Gazette), a news website that prioritises reporting on the environment, climate, human rights, and democracy.

In 2023, she was awarded the Musa Anter Free Press Martyrs Journalism Award for exposing how an energy company continued to cause ecological destruction in southwestern Turkey, in defiance of a court order.

She holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Bilkent University.
