Elena Lomora is a Master's Student in political science and Russian and East European Studies at the University of Helsinki. She is interested in the conditions of women in the former communist countries.

Elena is now writing her thesis about the representation of women in Romanian high school textbooks and writes for the Black Sea as part of an Erasmus work placement scholarship.

For this project, she has been working out of the cities of Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest, Romania.
